Historical Shrines

Take a peaceful step back in time by visiting our local historical shrines. Tucked away among ancient cedar trees, these sacred sites offer a quiet glimpse into the spiritual heart and rich history of the Niigata region.

Sekiyama Shrine is a significant historical site in the area, often praised by visitors for its serene atmosphere and deep cultural roots.

Uga Shrine is uniquely located on Biwa Island within Lake Nojiri, offering a mysterious and spiritual experience that requires a short boat trip to reach.

Togakushi Shrine is a world-renowned spiritual site situated at the base of the precipitous Mt. Togakushi. It consists of five separate shrines—Hokosha, Hinomikosha, Chusha, Kuzuryusha, and Okusha—connected by a 5km forest trail known as the Togakushi Kodo.

Lake Nojiri Bass Fishing

Lake Nojiri, famous for its excellent smallmouth bass fishing, it’s a beautiful spot to rent a boat, cast a line, and soak in the mountain views. It’s the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the local rhythm.

You can hire a professional guide with a bass boat or cast a line from the shore.
